I was traveling alone from Arkansas to Indiana in my 20-year old Toyota van (which has always been very reliable), when my “hot” indicator came on. Pulled into the nearest exit, which was Salem, and then pulled into the first auto related biz I saw— Auto Zone. I told two salesmen working there ( they were very helpful!) what was going on. They directed me to Yardleys and said they were my best bet for getting any needed work done ASAP. I can’t say enough good things about Yardleys, every single employee I dealt with was outstanding — friendly, polite, very knowledgeable and helpful. I trusted them and my “impending” panic attack dissipated. They gave me a loaner car to drive to get to a nearby Holiday Inn Express, as the needed part would not arrive until the next day. I was back on the road the next afternoon. Thank you, thank you, I and my siblings live in Indiana but own properties in Arkansas. I’ve told all of them that if they have vehicle problems in Illinois to try and make it to Yardley’s! 😁 P.S. Love the city of Salem! Everyone was so friendly. Also writing a review on the Holiday Inn - exceptionally nice.
